After last week’s beauty squad goals of Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and Oprah Winfrey, there’s now officially a new designer fashion trio in town: Lily James, Donatella Versace and Emily Ratajkowski.
Both Lily and Emily are close friends of Versace’s eponymous designer, and seeing their bond on social media is the wholesome content we didn’t know we needed. Lily posted a story to her Instagram gushing over the two after their podcast episode on Emily’s podcast High Low with EmRata.

She expressed she: “Loved every minute of listening to this @emrata and @donatella.versace True QUEENS. Such a beautiful, open and inspiring conversation @donatella.versace @versace”.
Donatella appeared on the podcast wearing the same violet hue that Emily wore for her latest Versace campaign. The designer mogul told Emily about using the power of femininity: “Fashion was full of rules'' she said.
Explaining that she and Gianni realised that women didn't need grey suits to be accepted and feel powerful, she tells Emily: “Women don’t really need that, we need to use our femininity, inner-self and the personality. Show who you are. It was not about being sexy, it was about being a woman”.
The three were joined by Gigi Hadid at the Met Gala 2022
Both Emily and Lily have been the faces of Versace in recent campaigns. Last month Em Rata put her divorce behind her and wore a violet dress with a veil to promote the Italian fashion house’s most recent ‘Greca Goddess’ campaign. Meanwhile Lily looked unrecognisable as she transformed into a Versace goth girl with jet black hair and purple lipstick for its AW22 collection.
Lily donned Versace for many of her red carpet looks last year including this year's Golden Globes, a floaty pink applique floral dress for the Academy Awards, and an embellished purple gown to the 2022 Met Gala, whilst Emily opted to put her signature spin on Versace attire, wearing a low rise skirt and cut out top in another daring street-style look.
The ultimate squad goals.
