Lizzo delivered not one but two of the most standout looks at this year’s BRIT Awards 2023.
First she hit the red carpet in a molten metallic gold gown from Robert Wun (the designer responsible for that red hat look Florence Pugh rocked at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards) then she stole the show during her knockout performance in an absurdly fluffy gown, complete with a towering collar.

Lizzo gave a standout performance at the Brits
Of course, the beauty was equally on point. The Juice singer entrusted her longtime make up artist Alexx Mayo to create her looks, which he described as “Sculpted and Snatched.” The MUA dished the details on the trick he used to “lift and contour” her face for her Brits appearance, and it was down to a cult-favourite workout, beloved by beauty editors.
Mayo explained that he used FaceGym on Lizzo, the brand which describes itself as, "the original and only gym for the face," the concept delivers award-winning, clinically-proven skincare, cutting-edge tools and one-of-a-kind workouts which are intended to 'sculpt' the visage.

Alexx Mayo shared the beauty secrets of Lizzo's look
Mayo used three products on Lizzo; The FaceGym Pro, a beauty gadget which sets you back £575. The patented device which he shared a video of on Instagram encourages muscle-deep stimulation that instantly reveals a super-toned complexion. It combines triple wave technology with diamond faceted probes which stimulate the muscles along your jawline, forehead, cheeks, brows and under eyes. The result gives the appearance of a firmer, more youthful-looking face in as little as 10 minutes.
He also used the Multi-Sculpt high-performance contouring tool. The gizmo has six different edges that help you lift, contour and reduce facial tension, releasing blockages in the muscles and aiding lymphatic drainage to depuff the skin and soften fine lines. Finally Mayo finished her face workout with a Weighted Ball. This bit of kit is used on areas of facial tension, such as the cheeks, jaw and forehead. The rolling motions help with lymphatic drainage to prep skin skin care as well as getting blood circulating to help emit a “lit-from-within glow.”
Is it too late to add a face workout out to our list of 2023 resolutions? According to Lizzo It’s About Damn Time.
