Cara Delevingne has become renowned for her nonchalant attitude and relaxed sense of humour.
On Sunday evening at the Super Bowl she demonstrated that she’s not afraid to have fun with her style yet again, as she made the ultimate sartorial statement in a tribute to Halftime performer, and her longtime friend Rihanna.

Cara's shirt was a hilarious tribute to Rihanna's performance
While the Bajan singer kept things designer onstage in Alaïa and Loewe, Delevingne wore a T-shirt with the slogan, "Rihanna Concert Interrupted by a Football Game, Weird But Whatever." She then revealed herself pulling the top over her head to reveal an image of Rihanna’s face wearing a Football helmet on the underside of the shirt.

The T-shirt actually hails from Rihanna's own Savage x Fenty 'Game Day' clothing collection, which was released to pay homage to her half-time performance at this year's Super Bowl. The 17 piece limited edition collection boasts Fenty hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, t-shirts, beanies and more. It epitomises classic oversized American football apparel, but elevates it with modern silhouettes like cropped sports shirts, unisex football-adorned boxers and two-tone varsity jerseys. The brand is known for its inclusive lingerie and loungewear ranges, but the brand first ventured into sportswear in October 2022.

The underside of the shirt reveals an image of Rihanna in NFL attire
Perhaps the most iconic piece from the whole collection, was the slogan T-shirt Delevingne wore, which encapsulates the mood of the whole event… so much so that people are dubbing the NFL the ‘National Fenty League’. The moment is going viral with major publications such as Sports Illustrated tweeting, "Cara Delevingne is every Rihanna Stan at the #SuperBowl." Delevingne wasn’t the only famous face in the audience, RiRi also had support from the likes of Adele, Billie Eilish and Jay-Z at the game.
The singer used the opportunity of her Halftime performance to stay true to her alternative approach to maternity wear, while confirming that baby number two is on the way for her and partner A$AP Rocky. Rihanna’s outfit consisted of a custom Loewe made breastplate crafted by British designer Jonathan Anderson, and the rest of the outfit was a custom red Alaïa creation, by the maison’s creative director Pieter Mulier.
With just a 14-minute set to wow the crowd, the We Found Love singer had to pull out all the stops, and boy did she deliver. All, hail queen Rihanna. It was a bit weird that all that football was going on in the background, but "whatever."
