Our modern Princess strikes again. Kate Middleton’s 2023 EE BAFTAs look had us mesmerised from head to toe. But all we can think about is her statement earrings that gave major Schiaparelli vibes, but were actually less than £20 from Zara.
For her first appearance at the event in three years with her husband Prince William (aka the president of BAFTA), Kate wore the same one shoulder Alexander Mcqueen dress she wore in 2019, but reworked the shoulder design from its original floral applique motif to an elegant draping silhouette over her shoulder.

She schooled us on using accessories to amp up the elegance – her black opera gloves were by far the chicest appendage on the red carpet. The 41-year-old exuded old Hollywood glamour by pairing her monochrome ensemble with gold statement earrings and dazzling Aquazzura court shoes.
But alongside her ability to steal the limelight with an eco-conscious agenda, Kate is also undeniably our Royal high-street shopping hero, and earrings seem to be her go-to for affordable accessories.

In recent months she’s donned these stunning £14 earrings from Accessorize, and wore two pairs of gold earrings in a row costing less than £80 on her UK tour to promote her new initiative Shaping Us.
Naturally, as soon as the eagle eyes of royal sartorial fans notice her earrings are high-street, they sell out like hot cakes. Her botanical-inspired Zara earrings from last night sold out almost immediately after she stepped onto the red carpet.
