Royal fashion fanatics will recognise Temperley London as one of the Princess of Wales' most adored British fashion brands when it comes to elegant evening wear.

But the 41-year-old is not the only member of the royal establishment who has a penchant for the chic designer label. Spanish royal Queen Letizia also is a fan of Temperley London, as she proved during a recent public engagement.

The 50-year-old recently attended the 2021 iteration of the National Culture Awards in a stunning piece by the British label.

Queen Letizia attended the awards ceremony held at Zaragoza's Pignatelli building, which was postponed because of the pandemic, in a blush pink georgette midi dress. The event aims to celebrate Spain's rich cultural heritage and publicly recognise those who make major contributions to the arts.

The stunning piece featured airy sleeves and a transparent mesh section at the shoulders, embroidered with botanical motifs, which allowed Queen Letizia to show a glimpse of skin.

The torso section of the dress was emblazoned with a floral-infused geometric pattern which extended out into a wide tiered tulle skirt. The piece captured Temperley London's signature ultra-feminine aesthetic, often conveyed through design details such as lace, scalloped edges, and frills. Much of the label's pieces exude a certain pretty polish and are laced with unabashed femininity, hence why Princess Kate has turned to Temperley London time and time again.

The stylish royal's dress was actually a repeat wear

"Kate does wear our clothes a lot, but it's not planned. You don't know if she is going to wear something until the photographs appear," designer Alice Temperley told Hello! Fashion.

Alice founded the brand back in 2000, just one year after she graduated from the Royal College of Art. Temperley Bridal was then launched in 2006, largely defined by "ethereal, timeless silhouettes" and "inspired by the romance and decadence of a bygone era", according to the brand.

Eagle-eyed fans of Queen Letizia's style will have noticed that her dress was actually a repeat wear that she previously wore back in October 2019. The stylish royal injected new life into her dress via Tous' 'Beethoven' drop earrings and a pair of Magrit's dusky pink suede pumps.
