Grace Kelly is a household name when it comes to royal fashion icons. And it appears her granddaughter Princess Alexandra of Hanover is following in her stylish footsteps after sporting some stellar outfits at Paris Fashion Week.

Alexandra, the fourth child of Princess Caroline of Monaco and the third of Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, is an annual attendee at Paris Fashion Weeks, but this year she has majorly upped her sartorial game, giving a series of elegant ensembles an edgy twist, and also giving her older Chanel muse half-sister Charlotte Casiraghi a run for her money or should we say… wardrobe?

The 23-year-old attended Stella McCartney’s horse-powered show on March 6 proving the power of elevated separates. She wore a crisp white shirt buttoned up to the neck, draped over a black mini skirt.

She layered a camel-coloured wool coat over the top – the staple cold weather piece that’s currently in every It-girls capsule wardrobe, and paired the tailored look with the coolest burgundy sock boots that rose calf-high and boasted a chunky wedge heel. She also donned a Stella McCartney Frayme bag – the first vegan bag in the world to be made from mushroom leather.

Avril Lavigne, Noah Cyrus and Jessica Alba were amongst the star-studded front row at Stella’s show that was an ode to horses.

The princess also attended the Giambattista Valli show on March 3 giving a quintessentially royal preppy ensemble a daring twist. She wore a super chic dark tweed skirt with a powder blue trim, paired with a major cut out bodysuit and the ultimate tailored jacket that is perfect for transitioning into spring.

The cool jacket eschewed fastenings and instead boasted two lapels that gave it a smarter,  blazer-y feel, whilst the satin material gave major 90s vibes and we are obsessed.

She paired the look with a mixed metals combination – black and silver slingbacks, a black shoulder bag with gold hardware and dainty gold droplet earrings.

Her PFW looks prior were equally as chic but definitely more safe. This season she braved an edgier style and it certainly paid off. Long live Monaco’s latest style icon.
