Fashion’s most exquisite attendees took their quintessential red carpet glam to the Green Carpet Fashion Awards on March 9 to advocate for, and celebrate pioneers of, a fairer fashion industry.

The flag was flying high for the Brits, with some of the fashion set’s cream of the crop including Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, Naomi Campbell and Jodie Turner-Smith sporting stellar sartorial agenda’s on the evening.

What are the Green Carpet awards?

The Green Carpet awards is “a one-of-a-kind event, recognising ethical efforts in environmental and social sustainability across the global fashion industry.  They celebrate progress, visionaries and game changers, and ultimately solutions for a fairer fashion industry.” This year the event was co-chaired by the likes of Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis and Tom Ford, and made its debut in Los Angeles on Oscars week to “celebrate positive forces in fashion and entertainment and their collective ability to move culture forward”.

Jodie Turner Smith

Jodie Turner-Smith won the beauty look of the evening, hands down. Aside from jumping on 2023’s current coveted hairstyle and rocking a stunning new french bob, the actress dazzled with blue-ish purple and gold metalli eyeglam. She wore a daring dress from Gucci with a major plunge neckline that flowed from muted sequin black into a purple and red slim-fitting sequin maxi skirt. To amp up the elegance she wore sheer opera gloves and diamond statement jewellery from Irene Neuwirth. Jodie nailed the colourful agenda and we’re obsessed.

Simone Ashley

The Bridgerton star took style cues from Kate Middleton and was on-theme in green for an eco-conscious event. She was the epitome of elegance in a long sleeved off-the-shoulder dress with a sweetheart neckline and floor length silhouette. She eschewed neck jewellery and opted for a pair of diamante dangle earrings and left her dark tresses wavy and loose.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi served us supermodel-chic and we were in awe. The 52-year-old wore a strapless black top that reached her mid-thigh and boasted a subtle cut-out design on the chest. She paired it with straight leg trousers and wore her hair poker straight, keeping the look streamlined throughout. She added wow-factor with blinding Cartier jewellery and  super thick cat-eye liner. The understated look proved her innate ability to look like a goddess every.single.time.
