The first ever Fashion Trust US Awards took place on March 21 at Goya Studios in Los Angeles. In a room awash with some of the most stylish VIPs on the planet, Kate Beckinsale, Christine Quinn, Alessandra Ambrossio and Olivia Wilde were amongst the fashion set who brought their sartorial A-game to celebrate the inaugural ceremony.

What are the Fashion US Trust Awards?
Launched in November 2022, the non-profit aims at discovering the most talented young designers in ready-to-wear, jewellery, graduate, sustainability and inclusivity categories. There’s also a Graduate Award and Google Creativity Award for designers who have made a difference through creativity. The 2023 event was hosted by comedian Phoebe Robinson.
Hello! Fashion’s best dressed guests at the Fashion Trust US Awards:
Olivia Wilde
Olivia, who presented an award on the evening, opted for Wednesday Addams chic in a midi dress from Chloe’s FW23 ready to wear collection, styled by Karla Welch. The black dressed boasted a high neck, flute sleeves and an A-line silhouette. She paired the dress with chunky platform boots and a captivating, bold waterline eyeliner look that made her eyes dazzle. Light-eyed girlies, this one’s for you.
Christine Quinn
Never one to shy away from a quirky look, the former Selling Sunsets star wore perhaps the wackiest boots of 2023. She wore a grey strapless satin dress with flattering ruched detailing and an asymmetric sculpted hem. Styled by Maeve Reilly, the look was paired with chunky thigh high boots adorned with metallic flower embellishments. In typical CQ fashion, even her hair was anything but subtle: she donned a sleek updo with gelled squiggles across the top of her head.
Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale dazzled from head to toe in a sheer dress adorned with striking silver embellishments that channelled 'futuristic-chic. She wore her brunette bob in a sleek half up-half down look to let her light reflecting outfit soak up every inch of the limelight.
Jenna Dewan
Jenna Dewan stunned in a black midi dress that boasted a silver Octopus tentacle as a neckline. She perfected undone chic, with the sleek beandeau silhouette and her hair left loose and waved. The dress boasted the same ocean-themed detailing as Rita Ora’s David Koma dress that she wore for a Luisaviaroma event in St Barths.
Marianna Hewitt
The super influencer and co-founder of beauty brand Summer Fridays schooled us on elevating a white t-shirt for a formal event. She paired her crisp tee with a long sheer skirt complete with a layer of eyelet detailing and white peep-toe shoes.
Midori Francis
The Sex Lives of College Girls actress oozed Hollywood Glamour in an embellished silver and gold ombre gown. She amplified the 1920’s inspired look with an oversized feather clutch bag.
Heidi Klum
The model turned heads in a grey/silver metallic dress from Kate Barton. The sculpted fin-like waistband detailing added interest and created a flattering silhouette. Her ultra dark smokey eye paired with black stiletto nails and silver rings made a strong case for grunge-chic.
Alessandra Ambrosio
In typical supermodel fashion, Alessandra channelled Greek Goddess vibes in a black and gold ensemble courtesy of Michael Kors. The floaty halterneck gown boasted chunky gold neckline detailing and a relaxed asymmetrical hem. She paired it with peep-toe platforms, gold bangles and a Rapunzel-esque plaited hairdo.
Lucy Hale
Actress Lucy Hale was a vision in Versace wearing a pink and black patterned gown with a daring thigh high split and a sweetheart neckline. She paired it with platform heels and menial bijouterie. Will the choker make a return for 2023? Watch this space…
Sabrina Elba
The actress and wife of Luther star Idris Elba proved the power of 'less is more'. She wore a daring halter neck dress with perhaps the most plunging neckline we’ve ever seen. The waist boasted flattering ruched detailing with the maxi skirt falling into a straight line silhouette. She eschewed neck bijouterie to let the dress do the talking and opted for layers of chunky bangles as statement jewellery. She also nailed 2023's coveted short hair trend with a sleek french bob.
