Queen Letizia of Spain and the Princess of Wales both immediately spring to mind when it comes to enviable style that we’re desperate to recreate. The Spanish royal used a styling hack often used by the Princess of Wales for her latest look, showcasing an ensemble that is perfect for spring.
The Queen attended the IX International Congress of the Spanish Language at the Falla Theater in Cadiz with her husband King Felipe VI, flying the flag for homegrown talent by wearing head-to-toe brands from her native country.

Letizia epitomised spring-chic in an elegant lilac ruched midi from Cho Atelier. The dress boasted gigot sleeves and a knotted midriff detailing to create a flattering silhouette, with a chic, subtle split from the dress hem.
She paired the dress with a matching lilac handbag from Olivia Mareque, nude pumps from the Duchess of Sussex’s favourite label Carolina Herrera, and multi coloured pavé dangle earrings from Alexandra Plata.
One royal sartorialist commented under an image on the Instagram account Royal Fashion Police saying: “This is a win for her and Spanish fashion”, whilst another said: “Spring has definitely sprung, and Queen Letizia knows it [smiley face emoji] She couldn’t look more radiant”.

Though a style muse in her own right, Letizia’s signature agenda could be described as closer in similarity to Meghan’s than to Kate’s, with ‘elevated simplicity’ at the top of her ever-chic agenda. But on this occasion, matching her handbag to her dress was a styling hack that is often exhibited by the Princess of Wales. Kate loves a tonal look, wearing an ensemble from the same colour palette, often opting to match her accessories to her outfits too.
Earlier this month when Kate wore that navy Erdem two piece with a peplum jacket, she matched her bag to her look with the ‘Natasha’ suede clutch in the shade ‘Midnight’ from Emmy London.
In February, she wore a navy top with navy trousers combo to celebrate Pancake Day in Slough last month, paired with a navy handbag from Polène, whilst in January she wore a tartan green Holland Cooper maxi coat paired with a green leather Mulberry bag.
