Is this the beginning of a new style era for Julia Roberts? If so, we are absolutely here for it. The Pretty Woman actress attended the annual Watches and Wonders exhibition oozing sophisticated glam with a dramatic new hair cut and head-turning high jewellery, all whilst channelling Victoria Beckham's signature style.
Both sartorial powerhouses have a penchant for killer tailored separates (nobody wears a suit and tie quite like Julia), elevated classics and often stick to donning a tried-and-true dark colour palette, so it’s no surprise Roberts opted for a piece from VB’s eponymous designer label for horology's most prestigious event of the year.

Julia’s long term stylist Elizabeth Stewart posted a photo (on, you guessed it, Instagram) of the 55-year-old wearing the black 'Polo Neck Knitted Gown' from Victoria's capsule evening wear collection. The stunning slinky dress is as elegant as it is alluring. The tight-fitting silhouette sculpted her figure, creating the a flattering shape, whilst he gown then draped down from the thighs and pooled out onto the floor. The high neckline and subtle cut-out back detailing added an extra touch of chic.
VB, clearly impressed by Roberts’ sartorial choice, reposted the image to her story saying, "Love this look on you @juliaroberts" with a black love heart emoji.
The Princess of Wales also adopted a similar sartorial agenda in January during a visit to Leeds when launching her Shaping Us Campaign. Kate wore a cream fitted knit dress from Victoria’s line paired with her trusty suede Gianvito Rossi boots. Does anything say 'Victoria Beckham' more than a knee high boots and long dress combo?

Robert’s amped up the glam with a green statement necklace and matching ring from luxury jeweller Chopard. Two weeks ago Julia announced her position as the Swiss house's new global ambassador. A subtle smokey eyed look and a soft nude lip let her glorious new hairstyle take centre stage. Hair stylist Serge Normant left her hair wavy and loose, debuting her stunning choppy fringe. Elizabeth Stewart captioned the post: “@sergenormant banging out bangs in Geneva”.
A long-sleeved black dress has become a staple of VB’s post-WAG sartorial agenda, which she emulates in the pieces available from her brand. From super skin-tight jerseys, to unexpected hoodie gowns, she and Julia have proved that the long black dress deserves as much credibility as a wardrobe must-have as an LBD.
