Whatever it is you're doing right now, stop. Prada are opening another cafe inside the hallowed halls of Harrods, and it's set to be every fashion and food lover's dream.
Pop ups come and go inside Harrods, from Prada's replica of their Milanese Marchesi Café almost a decade ago in 2014, to Dior's epic Gingerbread House Café in December 2022 as part of its Fabulous World of Interiors exhibition. Catching one whilst it's running can be a once in a lifetime opportunity, but you'll be as overjoyed as us to learn that the Prada Caffé (yes, with two f's), will be open until at least the end of 2023. Giving us a whole nine months to visit, and probably more than once.

What will the Prada Caffé look like?
There was one guarantee before we even saw any behind the scenes imagery: it's going to be unbelievably Instagrammable. It will be inspired by the Italian house’s first-ever boutique which opened at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in 1913.
“The black-and-white chequered [sic] flooring, echoing the brand’s iconic monochrome designs, paves the way to elegant velvet sofas in the season’s pale green, from which guests can admire the floral bas-reliefs that decorate the walls.” Harrods explains.
The tableware is also original and exclusive to the brand. Expect pale-blue Japanese porcelain, crystal glasses and additional pieces adorned with Prada’s iconic triangle motif.
What will the food be like?
The Italian house promises a taste of Milan in Knightsbridge, channeled through a modern take on Italian tradition. Breakfast will be available as well as lunch. In the mornings think Italian coffee, perfect poached eggs and puff pastries, whilst the lunch menu includes mouthwatering Italian starters and mains: from burrata and zucchini to spinach and ricotta cannelloni with black truffle.
If you'd rather spend more of your retail therapy session actually shopping that eating, just pop in for a mid or post-shopping snack. Choose from dainty sandwiches, cute puff pizzas (adorably called pizzettes) or patisseries and desserts that will be a part of the cafe's aesthetically pleasing display. Harrods say, "The pistachio cake with pistachio croccantino and cream, sponge cake and vanilla cream is worth the trip alone".
What's an Italian cafe without an Italian wine list? There'll also be an extensive wine list from various regions, and perfectly crafted cocktails.
