Pretty much everything contemporary fashion icon Kim Kardashian steps out in is guaranteed to cause a stir – and her latest look is no exception. The SKIMS founder sparked a furore with an outfit that celebrated cutesy anthropomorphized Japanese character Hello Kitty.
The reality star has taken some time out from her busy schedule to spend some quality time with her nine-year-old daughter North (who is herself a style sensation in the making, we hasten to add) on a trip to Japan. The mother-daughter duo, renowned for their hilarious joint TikTok account, documented their time in Tokyo which included a visit to a Hello Kitty café.

Kim wore an extremely fitting outfit for the occasion, consisting of a grey marl crop top and matching sweatpants, styled with a candy floss pink fluffy coat from her beloved Balenciaga's Pre-fall 2019 collection. Her statement outerwear was complemented by a matching top handle bag and silver racer shades which had an unmistakably futuristic air about them.
Kim shared the family snaps from the trip with her 351m Instagram followers, showing off their shared "Sanrio Style", and fans were obsessed with her overtly themed look.

© InstagramNever one to scrimp on a theme, (we've all seen her kid's birthday parties) Kim even paid homage to the iconic Japanese character with a Hello Kitty-shaped fixture on her French manicure.
Fans were quick to point out that her sisters Kourtney and Khloé deserved an apology, years ago Kim previously called out her sisters on Keeping Up With The Kardashians for their colourful (over the top, in Kim’s book) outfits worn out in Japan, saying: "You look like f****** clowns!"
"I’m waiting……" commented Khloé, to which Kim responded with "@khloekardashian I’m sorry Khloe and to Kourt too."
Kim's stylish Hello Kitty moment came just a couple of weeks after she made headlines by stopping by the Emirates Stadium to catch the Arsenal match. The 42-year-old rocked up at the London team's home ground with her son Saint to watch the game between Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon and we can't lie, the pics were equally iconic.
