Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan never ever misses when it comes to serving an outfit that boasts an utter chicness. The stylish royal is currently on a tour of Japan with her husband King Abdullah, and her wardrobe so far has been a concoction of dreamy designer looks.

If unfamiliar with the Queen’s usual sartorial agenda, she champions elevated neutrals, impeccable tailoring and effortlessly chic two pieces that the likes of the Duchess of Sussex and Angelina Jolie  would recreate without hesitation. So far on her visit she’s adopted perfect pastels, haute accessories and made the case for navy suits in spring, and we are loving every second.

TOKYO, JAPAN - APRIL 11 : (----EDITORIAL USE ONLY MANDATORY CREDIT - 'ROYAL HASHEMITE COURT / HANDOUT'' - NO MARKETING NO ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS - DISTRIBUTED AS A SERVICE TO CLIENTS----) King Abdullah II of Jordan (3rd L) meets with Japanese Emperor Naruh© Anadolu Agency
The Jordanian royal family met with Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako in Tokyo

The first outfit of the tour we see her wearing is to visit Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at the Tokyo Imperial Palace, the Queen wore a custom beige ‘Robe Manteau’ couture blazer dress from Amsterdam based designer label, Benchellal. The original Robe Manteau boats a sculptural wrap around the body, which Rania eschewed in favour of a voluminous collar, matching fabric buttons and elegant bracelet sleeves. The pièce de résistance was a gold bow waist belt from Marni to finish off the customisations that epitomise her signature style.

She paired with her trusty braided Peekaboo bag from Fendi and beige pumps from British brand Jennifer Chamandi.

To meet with Yuko Kishida, the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Queen Rania then wore the ultimate spring two piece. If there’s any designer label to shop for feminine florals, it’s Zimmerman. The pastel look from the label’s nautical themed Resort 2023 collection, boasted an elegant high neck with puffed sleeves. (Could the hue be an ode to Japan's iconic cherry blossom trees?) Rania customised the look and removed the floral appliqué from across the neckline to make the detailing more subtle. The stunning high waist of the matching maxi skirt made for a flattering silhouette and gave the illusion of a lengthier frame. Blush coloured pastel pumps from Meghan Markle approved brand Dior matched her ensemble perfectly, and a white Gabriella Hearst bag finished off the look.

Rania then oozed Parisian-chic in a tailored navy two piece from Alexander Vauthier’s AW22 collection. The double breasted jacket boasted short mid-length sleeves, elegant oversized lapels and a fitted waist that cinched her figure. She juxtaposed the navy wide leg trousers with siren red satin pumps and a multicoloured Caro bag from Dior.

We hope this tour never ends.
