If the name Launer sounds familiar to you it's thanks to Queen Elizabeth II’s long-time patronage of the brand, their bags became her signature, and she was almost never photographed without one. “We are one of the proud British firms to have been awarded a Royal Warrant for products or services,” explains Bodmer.
In the last ever photograph of The Queen, during her meeting with then-Prime Minister Liz Truss in the crook of her arm is the unmistakable black boxy shape complete with a laurel wreath gold fastening. “It's so heart-rending that she carried my bag on the last day of her life,” Bodmer recalls.

The limited edition ‘King's Coronation Collection’ range of seven leather articles are inspired by The King's racing colours; Scarlet, Royal Blue and Black. Included in the range are wallet, credit card holders, key rings and two renditions of the Tosca, a favourite bag style of the future Queen, Camilla.
“The ceremony will be steeped in pageantry and tradition and a first for many in living memory to witness the crowning of a new Monarch and on this occasion both King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be crowned,” Bodmer explains.
Inscribed by hand embossing in gold foil lettering, ‘Coronation 2023,’ these are considered designs to keep as treasured mementos of this historic event. Prices range from from £130 to £1,650 for the items.
Looks like this royal-approved brand is still going to be a must-have for our new monarchs.
