The Glow Giver
"Make-up artist Lisa Eldridge uses this ultra-fine spray to prep the skin of her celebrity clients, the likes of Rihanna, Kate Winslet and Keira Knightley. Need I say more? She also uses it to set and refresh applied make-up. I only received a sample last week, but already I wouldn’t be without it. It contains some powerhouse ingredients, namely niacinamide to help even out my complexion (shadows and redness) and a clever biopolymer, which forms a sort of flexible mesh on skin to tighten and smooth. It also gives good glow and a flattering soft-focus finish. I’d say it does the job of at least three existing products in my make-up bag."
Polish En Pointe
"I’ve been using Leighton Denny’s reformulated Nail Illuminator on repeat for a few weeks. To manage expectations, you can’t recreate Hailey Bieber’s ‘milky mani’ with this polish, it’s not a full coverage gloss. Instead nails look like they’ve been buffed and brightened. It’s a clean, glowy finish, and the new plant-based formula contains antioxidants so consider it a nourishing nail treatment, too."
Magic Wands
"There’s a wave of new double-sided mascara wands that promise to bulk up your lashline. The idea is to use one side to lengthen and layer on product, and then the other side to sculpt and add definition. My favourite is the L'Oréal Paris Telescopic Lift, which is trending hard on Tiktok. It has tiny hooks on the end of each bristle to drag up your hairs, promising up to 5mm longer-looking lashes. The finished look is quite graphic, and reads more grunge that glam."
Must-Have Hair Mask
"I swear by a weekly Elasticizer fix to freshen up dull hair. It a pre-shampoo conditioning treatment that adds shine and a bit bounce. Trichologist Philip Kingsley created it for Audrey Hepburn almost fifty years ago and the formula has remained unchanged. So what is there to say about the iconic Elasticizer that hasn’t already been said? Just that it’s available in this cute Bluebell Woodslimited edition, which has a seasonal, fruity-floral scent."
Golden delicious
"New fragrances land on my desk every week but Whind’s Néroli Bronzé is one of those special scents that stops me in my tracks. Inspired by the sunbaked gardens and groves of Marrakech, it’s a creamy citrus blend laced with brown sugar and a hint of cardamon. At first, it comes off a bit like expensive suncream, but there’s much more to this fragrance than that - thanks in no small part to a herbal lavender note, which manages to cut through the sultry sweetness. It’s expensive, but worthy of a splurge."
