Jennifer Lawrence’s 2023 style transformation is the gift that keeps on giving
From showing us a new way to wear ballet flats to her superb 'Parisian chic' ensemble during Paris Fashion Week, the Sparrow Red actress' sartorial game is impeccable.
The fashion muse has been a Dior ambassador since 2012, therefore it came as no surprise that JLaw stepped out in yet another stellar look from the French luxury label, to attend the WWD Honors event at Cipriani's in New York on Tuesday. And her sultry off-the-shoulder look is the coolest black dress of autumn 2023 so far.

Proving that this year’s 'quiet luxury' trend embodies pure sophistication, Jennifer wore a midi dress from Christian Dior’s spring/summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which featured a sculpted off-the-shoulder neckline, a pencil skirt and a subtle black belt to cinch the waist.
JLaw’s dress, styled by Jamie Mizrahi - the mastermind behind her current style transformation - puts an autumnal update on the beloved LBD. The midaxi length instead of the classic midi amps up the sophistication, whilst the sleeves scrunched up gave it a slouchier, cool-girl feel.

She paired the look with nude court shoes, a chunky gold bangle and asymmetrical statement earrings, yet eschewed a necklace to let her alluring neckline do the talking.
A statement red lip added a pop of colour to her look, which her make-up artist Hung Vanngo confirmed on Instagram was Dior Beauty’s '999 Matte Velvet' lipstick (*adds to wishlist immediately).
In case you missed it, Jennifer actually stepped into her quiet luxury era over this summer. From Stella McCartney outfits to Proenza Schouler and The Row - she's constantly nailing the elegant trend that isn't leaving sartorial agendas anytime soon.
What is 'Quiet Luxury'?
“Quiet Luxury is a new age minimalism style, and in terms of clothes they are investment pieces and forever staples that will last in your wardrobe,” celebrity stylist Georgie Gray previously told Hello! Fashion. She also explained it's “the most sustainable as you have chosen pieces that will last in your wardrobe forever. It’s a smart aesthetic, with classic cuts and designer labels that you will never get bored of."
