The cat's officially out of the bag and come November 1st there will be a new celeb-founded fashion brand to spend all our pennies on. Released in a WSJ article yesterday, Kylie Jenner, the business mogul and founder of the billion-dollar beauty empire Kylie Cosmetics, is officially headfirst into the fashion arena and as with all Kardashian ventures... it’s going to be major.
Taking to Instagram earlier this week, Miss Jenner teased her 398 million followers with a mysterious grid post of her sitting on the floor wearing a leather trench and red heels. Not unusual for a fashion queen like herself, as we know, she loves an obscure camera angle, but the mysterious part was the caption that read “meet khy.” Short, sweet and vague... With not even an emoji in sight.
There have been rumours of Kylie starting a fashion brand for a while now, but nothing concrete has come to light until now. If I’m being honest I'm surprised it's taken this long for her to launch a namesake line, especially with Kris as her mom-ager.
The 13-piece collection will feature a range of distinct Kylie-esk pieces, including the aforementioned leather trench as well as a sheer red and teal midi dress, a duck egg green feather coat and some formfitting basics. The inaugural Khy collection will offer an extensive size range, from XXS to 4XL and strive to "redefine the meaning of a fashion brand."

What can we expect from Khy?
Now, I’m no psychic, but if her recent style is anything to go by we can expect lots of figure-hugging tailoring, low-rise baggy jeans, bold shoulders and pointed stilettos, a far cry from her 2012 Kendall + Kylie collection that was created (before the world knew anything of the power of the Kardashian clan, and they had established their now cemented high-fashion credentials.) Think Balenciaga meets The Row meets Rick Owens.
How do we shop Khy?
Sign up for early access on khy.com and mark your calendars for release date on November 1st.
Will there be a brick-and-mortar store?
We're unsure about this one but in true pop-up shop Kardashian-Jenner style, our Magic 8-Ball points to yes.
What else do we know about Khy?
Honestly, that's about it. We'll have to wait with the rest of the world to find out more.
Do we really need another celebrity-founded fashion brand?
Time will tell.
