Monochrome looks, a bold red lip and a Hermès Mini Kelly are just a few of Alexa Dagmar’s go-to’s which puts her amongst some of the worlds most stylish names.

What This Fashion Insider Wears In A Week:

Date Night

One of my go-to evening looks is to wear all white with a red lip. I rarely wear bold lipstick, but I love the combination with a fresh white outfit and undone hair — it gives me an effortlessly chic French vibe. As parents, we can't go on date nights regularly; we actually prefer lunches as they’re much easier to organise. Still, every now and then, we love to treat ourselves to an evening out or a mini vacation, just the two of us. For example, here we were in London, dining at Aubrey, Mandarin Oriental.

A Day of Meetings

During my travels, I attend many meetings with the press, other creatives, and buyers. I love dressing up when I travel, as I can step out of my "mom" role for a day or two and feel really posh without worrying about getting mud on my clothes.

Drinks with the Girls

As you can see, I absolutely love monochrome looks! It’s such an effortless way to look put together. I also adore my Hermès Mini Kelly, as it always adds a touch of evening glamour to any outfit.

A Chic Sunday Stroll

This must be one of the most used pieces in my closet since we got the first prototype. It has also been one of Almada’s best selling pieces, and no wonder why. It’s like a warm hug but looks absolutely chic.

A Day at the Showroom

I have worn this upcoming set from Almada many times already. It’s so me: monochrome and comfortable, yet effortlessly chic (at least that’s what I aim for, haha). I’m also very much into statement earrings, especially when I wear my hair up.

The Fashion Insider Low-Down:

Can you describe your personal style in a few words? How does it reflect your role in the fashion industry?

I feel like my style is timeless with a hint of edge. I’m really into comfortable monochrome looks. Unique jewellery from independent Scandinavian brands is my way to bring some personality to my daily looks.

What's your go-to outfit for a busy day of fashion events and meetings? How do you balance comfort and style?

Comfort is everything! If you are comfortable, you also radiate confidence. I usually go for comfortable monochrome looks, pop on some comfy heels (I love Amina Muaddi’s mules), and statement earrings.

What are your go-to brands?

Besides my own brand, Almada Label, I love other minimalist brands like The Row and Toteme, and jewellery from indie Scandinavian brands Nootka and Louisabel.

Do you have any fashion icons or inspirations that influence your style choices? How do they inspire you?

I love getting inspired by people-watching during my travels and scrolling through Pinterest. 90’s paparazzi photos of off-duty models and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy are my most pinned style pictures.

Weekdays can be hectic. What's your weekday workwear wardrobe like, and how does it differ from your weekend attire?

Say no more, especially as a working mom. I love to wear jeans and a knit, usually with flats instead of heels.

Accessories can make or break an outfit. What are your must-have accessories, and how do you use them to elevate your look?

100% agree. Hermès bags are honestly my weakness! My collection isn’t big, but I prefer to invest in a few selected pieces and love them to death.

In the fashion world, trends are constantly evolving. How do you stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, and do you incorporate them into your wardrobe?

I try to invest in classics and not get too carried away with trends, as they come and go so fast.

Many people admire the way fashion insiders put together outfits effortlessly. Can you share some of your styling tips for mixing and matching pieces?

Monochrome looks and keeping it simple and comfortable are key. It’s not worth feeling out of place or uncomfortable. I follow the “rule of 2/3,” which means that out of 1) outfit, 2) hair, and 3) makeup, I try to have at least two of those in place in the morning to feel put together.

Fashion insiders often attend high-profile events and parties. What's your strategy for creating memorable looks for evening parties?

I’m a big advocate for lending and renting. It’s not always worth it to buy (and search for) something new, so it’s fun to discover unique pieces from friends’ closets or rent something special for the event.

The fashion industry can be demanding. How do you balance comfort and style when you have long days of meetings and appointments?

The fashion industry may sound more glamorous than it actually is, as these days most of the meetings are via Teams, so I can actually secretly wear slacks and be barefoot, haha.
