Aldi is known for its amazing Specialbuys events, with weekly offers on everything from baby essentials to furniture. But the budget supermarket may have outdone itself with its latest offering - a range of cast iron cookware similar to Le Creuset, but at a tenth of the price.

While shoppers could expect to spend hundreds on a range of cookware such as casserole dishes, tagines and frying pans, anyone whose budget doesn't quite stretch to the premium products can still get the look for a whole lot less, as every piece in the collection costs under £25.

Aldi's cast iron cookware includes this casserole dish

The stylish range includes both deep and shallow casserole dishes, a large tagine, cast iron roaster, frying pan, skillet, grill tray, silicone double oven glove and mixed assortment of stoneware, allowing shoppers to kit out the kitchen for less than £70 for the key pieces - a saving of £644 compared to buying similar cookware from Le Creuset.

Prices start at £3.49, rising to £24.99 for a casserole dish - but you could expect to pay as much as £295 for a similar dish from a premium brand. The range will also be available in three stylish colours, your choice of cream, grey and red.

A tagine is also available in red, cream or grey

Just like any of the supermarket's Specialbuys, these pieces will only be available for a limited time and are sure to be a hit with savvy shoppers, so you'll want to get in quick. The collection is available to pre-order from 16 September and pick up in stores and online from 20 September.

The leading supermarkets have all started to launch their own trend-inspired homeware lines for customers to update their homes while doing their weekly shop. Aldi has previously launched a line of copper saucepans inspired by a similar collection at John Lewis, but at a fraction of the price, as well as selling a rocking chair for a baby's nursery that sold out within one minute of going on sale in Australia.
