Coleen Nolan has shared a controversial photo taken inside her home on Instagram.

The snap was taken in her kitchen, and showed one of her pet kittens sitting on the worktop on top of her washing up as it dried.

The Loose Women star captioned the image, "I promise I didn't wash the kitten with the dishes." Of course, we take Coleen's word for it.

The design of the room also caught our attention. It's decorated with white walls and a combination of white and marl grey cupboards. Her worktops are a glossy dark grey style with metallic flecks, offset by silver fittings including a curved tap and door handles.

Appliances include a traditional grey AGA oven positioned within an alcove seen in the background of the image, as well as a silver kettle and a cream toaster in one corner.

As well as her kitchen, Coleen has previously unveiled glimpses of bedroom, her garden and her living room.

She moved into the property during the first coronavirus lockdown period in May, and shared the news with the Loose Women panel as she joined the show from her kitchen.

She said, "I love my kitchen. It's a new house so I'm loving it."

She went on to explain that social distancing measures meant it took her family more than 12 hours to relocate just 20 minutes away.

"Well it was really close to whether we could or we couldn’t [move] and luckily the solicitors said that because we'd exchanged and completed, actually, by law you have to kind of move.

"But we had to do it while we were social distancing, so it took three cars and a really small van, it took 12 and a half hours for us to move 20 minutes up the road. With 15 animals."

Making the move even more challenging was the fact that Coleen's pet cat had given birth to seven cats the day before.
