After Rachel Brosnahan purchased her first home in New York, she turned to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for design inspiration.

The actress, who plays Miriam "Midge" Maisel, revealed she wanted to curate long-term items in her house rather than temporary decorations she had used when she was moving between Los Angeles and New York. When asked if she'd learnt any design tips from Midge, she told Architectural Digest: "I love a good wallpaper. I've fallen in love with beautiful wallpaper working on this show and with the set design team led by Bill Groom. They know how to use color and pattern in a way that feels both vintage and also like something I would put all over my apartment today."

She also has her eye on Midge's yellow chairs – but for now, she has added her own splashes of the colour, including a dining table with a glass top and yellow-painted iron. Take a peek inside the bold home she shares with her husband Jason Ralph and their adorable pet dogs…
Rachel Brosnahan's entrance
Rachel posed on the black steps leading to her home back in March 2021 as she prepared to head to the Writers Guild Awards.

Rachel Brosnahan's kitchen
The actress shared a snap of her husband cooking as their dog sat on a seat next to him, showing off their industrial kitchen. There are wooden cabinets with silver handles, black worktops that match the glass wall unit displaying their crockery, and exposed brick walls.
Another snap of Rachel hugging her furry friend revealed there is a cream and black rug on the black floors. A set of iron stairs are visible on the other side of the open-plan room, and white built-in cupboards line the corridor offering the couple plenty of storage space.

Although she hasn't shared photos of her yellow dining table, Rachel has revealed there is a black and white rug underneath one of their tables, which is surrounded by rattan chairs with black cushions. A large house plant, a decorative wicker basket and a colourful pink side table add a boho feel to the space.

Rachel Brosnahan's living room
The living room also has exposed brick walls where Rachel had positioned a colourful yellow painting. A brown leather sofa from ABC Carpet & Home is topped with black and white spotty cushions, and there is a coffee table from Studio McGee out of view.
Rachel Brosnahan's bathroom
The actress shared a look inside her bathroom as she "pulled a drowned rat out of our toilet". It is complete with white floors and colourful jars on top of the toilet.
She also confirmed to AD she keeps her Golden Globe in one of her bathrooms: "Yes, it's still on the toilet. My apartment is an open floor plan, and I just didn't want it to be one of the first things you saw when you walked in the front door. It looks beautiful in the bathroom."
