In a photo shared on Instagram, the former Good Morning Britain presenter had pushed two wicker chairs together and covered them with a colourful towel adorned with a Corgi print. Resting on the wall of the hot tub was a hat to protect Piers from the sun and several magazines.

"I’ve made my bed, it’s bloody hot, and now I’m going to lie in it. #LA (note Corgi towel in honour of Her Majesty)," he wrote in the caption, referring to the Queen's Platinum Jubilee on Sunday. But several of his fans were left confused over his choice of outdoor furniture.

Rebekah Vardy was among the first to joke: "Do you need some sun loungers Piers? Looks rather like the kids makeshift den." Defending his makeshift sunlounger, Piers responded: "@beckyvardy I made it myself today… so comfortable!"

Meanwhile, another wrote: "Is that 2 chairs pushed together? Come on now Piers. You surely can afford a proper sun lounger!" and a third commented: "Looks like the dog's bed!"
Many other followers, however, couldn't tear their eyes away from the dreamy sun-soaked setting – and we can't blame them.

Former photos show the pool has Spanish-inspired patterned tiles running along the inside, and a burnt orange style on the sides. There are various palm trees and plants lining the far edge to offer privacy for Piers, his wife Celia Walden, and their daughter Elise.
Reportedly worth £4.2million, Piers' home is formed of two storeys with an open-air terrace on the second floor, and a ground floor outdoor patio area with wooden awning for shelter. Inside, it features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, an indoor bar, and an enormous walk-in wardrobe.
He also owns a gorgeous townhouse in West London he reportedly purchased from his father-in-law and former Tory MP George Walden for £4million in 2009, and a stunning countryside retreat in Newick, East Sussex.
