Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Lauren Zima couldn't be more thrilled with their new home in Austin, Texas.
The couple moved to the city, long known as one of Lone Star State's biggest arts and entertainment hubs, in 2020. Now, they're showing it off with an exclusive photoshoot for Austin Lifestyle magazine as part of its latest cover story, in which they also gush about the gorgeous space, which they helped design.
"I always knew I wanted to eventually move back home to Texas," Chris told Austin Lifestyle.
"Since I was young, I've loved Austin, and when I knew my future was with Lauren – that was the real deciding factor. I realized that I wanted us to start a life together somewhere neither of us had lived, to build our own unique memories, with just us. I took her to Austin and she fell in love with the city, too."
Working with local builder Heyl Homes and Kelly Contine Interior Design, the couple aimed to create a space that was "chic but playful" – and they've more than succeeded.

The light-filled home features a custom wine room, which is an homage to Napa, where they got engaged three years ago, they told the magazine. It's Chris's favourite room in the house, he said, while Lauren is partial to their main floor bathroom because of what she says is its "escapist" feel. They spend most of their time in the wine room and den, Lauren told the magazine. And she said she also loves their office – partly because she and Chris have very much made it a shared space for all their work.
"I noticed when we were looking at houses, some people would assume the office was for the man," she told Austin Lifestyle. "Chris made sure everyone knew this was our office from the get go; the custom steel desk is built for two, for two of us to work opposite each other and with each other."

That ability to treat each other as equals is something they've always brought to their relationship, they told the publication. And when it came time to designing their home, they were also thrilled to find they had the same taste in decor.
