Dame Joan Collins has opened the doors inside her gorgeous home for a very special reason.

The Hollywood star features in the new GREAT Calling campaign, which aims at showcasing modern British culture on the other side of the pond, in light of some dated stereotypes from Americans.
The actress features alongside other big names including Hugh Bonneville, Gordon Ramsay and Rio Ferdinand, and made sure to set the record straight about the UK's growing award-winning sparkling wine industry.

"In a recent survey less than ¼ of Americans knew that the UK is actually one of the world's fastest growing wine regions."
She then told viewers: "You know what goes well with wine? It's cheese. And the UK actually produces more than 700 varieties of cheese. That's more than France does. You better come over here and have a glass!"

The GREAT Calling campaign has been a huge hit in New York City, where New Yorkers were encouraged earlier in the month to hunt down red phonebooths across the city.

Those that answered the call won tickets to events like The World's First AI Banquet, a Premier League match day experience, cooking with celebrity chef Nadiya Hussain and unique music shows popping up in in usual venues across the Big Apple.

With these events, GREAT Calling aims to give US audiences a taste of British culture in advance of an exciting year for the UK.

In June, the UK hosts The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, celebrating her 70 years on the throne – just one of the many big events coming up in the next few months.
Other stereotypes that were questioned by celebrities included England's "boring" food – something that top chef Gordon was quick to shut down, along with Downton Abbey's Hugh, who believes that the UK has "the best food in the world".
