King Charles III's living arrangements have been the subject of much scrutiny since his accession to the throne, and while he has been dividing his time between Clarence House and Birkhall following the Queen's death, his move to Buckingham Palace could happen sooner than first expected.

HELLO!'s royal editor, Emily Nash, reports on the key decisions facing the new monarch in the new issue of HELLO! magazine, with moving home among them.

"Other arrangements the King is making include decisions on the royal residences – he will remain at Clarence House before eventually moving into Buckingham Palace after the partial completion of reservicing work next spring," Emily wrote.
It was previously reported that the King and Queen Consort wouldn't relocate until the work was completely finished. However, the ten-year project is not expected to be finished until 2027, so Charles and Camilla were no doubt keen to move in before then.

The works at Buckingham Palace include updating the electrical cabling, plumbing and heating, at an estimated cost of £369million. The palace continues to be used for official duties and events, and is where King Charles hosted a reception for state leaders on the evening before the Queen's funeral.

Ahead of their relocation, Charles and Camilla will stay at their current home, Clarence House, where they have lived for nearly 20 years.

The incredible residence has previously been home to several senior royals including the Queen, who gave birth to Princess Anne there in 1950, and the Queen Mother, who lived there for 50 years until her death in 2002.
The royal couple are also currently spending time at their private home on the Balmoral estate, Birkhall, and attended church at Crathie Kirk together on Sunday, during their week of royal mourning.
