King Charles III’s coronation is fast approaching, and the inaugural ceremony will be enjoyed by thousands of invitees and millions of onlookers around the world.
The special weekend will see the great and good of the royal family come together for the celebrations, but where will they all be staying during the coronation?
King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla
While many people may think the King lives inside Buckingham Palace, as the late Queen Elizabeth II once did, he in fact resides at Clarence House, a stone’s throw away from the main palace. It’s likely the King and his wife Queen Consort Camilla will rest their heads in their own beds at their normal place of residence after the busy coronation days.
Prince William and Princess Kate
The Prince and Princess of Wales relocated from London to Windsor towards the end of last year so you may be wondering where they will be stopping over when they are in the city of London for Charles’ big occasion. Well, luckily for the family, they still have access to Apartment 1A inside Kensington Palace so they can retreat back to their former abode for however many nights they may be in town.
Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Lawrence
The Princess Royal has her own estate, Gatcombe Park, which is located in the Cotswolds, but when her brother is coronated as the King of England it is likely the royal will be in London. Anne uses St James’s Palace as her London base so it would seem only natural that she would set up camp there at least for the long weekend to support the monarch.
Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie
King Charles' brother Edward lives in Surrey at Bagshot Park along with his wife Duchess Sophie and two children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex. The property is around an hour drive from central London, making it viable that the family will go back home after the celebrations, but of course it is also possible that Charles could offer up a London base for them to stay in during the course of the coronation.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
While the jury is still out on whether Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will make the journey across the pond for his father’s coronation, if they do come, you may be wondering where they will stay...

As the Sussexes have been asked to vacate their UK home Frogmore Cottage, they do not have an official residence in England. It is possible that King Charles could offer up temporary accommodation for the pair, considering he has a whole host of residence at his disposal. Another option for the couple is stopping over at Soho House, as they have expressed a love for the members club before. Soho House's newest London opening is White City House in West London, ideal for the central-based celebrations.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson
As Prince Andrew is no longer a working royal, it is believed he will not have a ceremonial role at the King's coronation, however, there is a chance that he could still attend. Plus, as Andrew is divorced from Sarah Ferguson it seems unlikely that she will be invited to the celebrations. If they did attend, they would be expected to stay in London rather than travel back to Windsor to their home Royal Lodge.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank
Pregnant Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank reside at Ivy Cottage on the Kensington Palace estate along with their son August. The princess first lived here when she wed husband Jack, and now she's back, and it's ideally located for the coronation.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have recently moved into a £3million house in the Cotswolds with their daughter Sienna but we're sure the family will be back in London for the special May weekend. The couple used to live inside St James's Palace, and it could be a possibility for them to head back there for a temporary stay.
