April 5, 2023

Prince William and Princess Kate are now fully settled in their Windsor home, since moving there in September 2022. While we've only caught one glimpse inside the private property when Prince William appeared via video call, there are several pictures of the exterior.

A selection of photographs and paintings was shared by royal fan account @royallifefan and it shows just how idyllic the property is.

The first image shows a clear and crisp photo of the light-coloured exterior of the home. It appears to be made of two separate buildings and there are pristine grounds stretching out in front of the house.

Another shot, from a different angle, reveals a privacy hedge around the perimeter and a selection of trees offering up the family some element of privacy.

One of the images is a historic painting that reveals it once had an outdoor fountain and circular flowerbeds.

The property is located on Windsor Home Park, which is a space that's open to members of the public.

The caption on the images reads: "Adelaide Cottage, previously known as Adelaide Lodge was built in 1831 for Queen Adelaide Consort for William IV as a day house, a place to go visit during the day. The cottage is located on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

"After the death of King William, Queen Adelaide stopped visiting and Queen Victoria would go for tea at the house. It was later used as a grace and favour home for Peter Townsend. It was then used as a place to stay for the Queen's cousins from her mother's side when they visited."

It is believed that William and Kate still have access to their city home, ideal for them to stay when they have royal engagements in London and don't want to head back to Windsor. Perhaps they will stop over there during King Charles III's coronation celebrations.
