Never in the history of celeb decor has any other star home sparked so much debate and comment as Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright’s. The couple shared a new update on their home Instagram account and the comment section was full of divided opinion - and a stark warning.
The couple, who have built their dream home in Essex, showed off their finished living room sofa area. In keeping with the general theme of minimalist, luxury interiors in muted tones, the cream sofa was finished with a sea of scatter cushions in the same shade.
“Scatter cushions finishing our living room sofa perfectly,” read the caption alongside videos and photos of the enormous couch.
The post soon wracked up over 14k likes and hundreds of comments, including this piece of advice from a worried fan: “Gorgeous!!! When you have kids - you’ll need to put plastic wrapping on the sofas.”
Not everyone agreed with the comment though, with another follower remarking: “I have had four children growing up and now grandchildren. They were taught to treat furniture with respect and I didn’t allow eating food on the sofa that’s what tables are for. Just ‘cause you have kids you don’t live your whole life around them.”

Another fan went as far to say: “Or you could just not assume they can have/want to have kids.”
For style points, the sofa got a resounding thumbs up, with Instagram users describing it as “stunning” and “lovely”. However many fans commented that it looked “unlived in” or too much like a show home. Others wished the couple would add “a splash of colour”.
