Gemma Atkinson, 38, who is pregnant with her second child with fiancé Gorka Marquez, has been busy preparing the nursery for her unborn son.
As well as getting the baby's room ready, her daughter Mia's bedroom got a makeover, but the space has received backlash online.
On Thursday, the Strictly Come Dancing star took to Instagram Stories to reply to the negative messages she has received.
Gemma shared one message she was sent, flagging that Mia's and her son's rooms conformed to gender stereotypes, with one pink and one blue.
Gemma wrote a caption alongside the message: "I've had a few of these messages and I find it really baffling. We didn't choose Mia's room, she did. She told the painter all her favourite colours and characters she wanted. I designed the nursery with animals which I love and blue is my favourite colour. Always has been because it reminds me of the ocean.
"I've actually never been into pink. It doesn't mean I'm going against the stereotype or I want to be a boy or that I'm anti girl colours it simply means that my favourite colour is blue and not pink. Jesus Christ give me the strength today Amen."

Last month, the former Hollyoaks star revealed that it was unlikely that she and Gorka would have any more children when they welcome their son later in the year.
During a fan Q+A session, one follower asked whether the pair would only have two children now that they have a girl and a boy. Responding to the question, Gemma posted: "Absolutely! We don't want to be outnumbered." She finished the post with a laughing face emoji.

The stars have a beautiful home in Manchester to raise their new son, and it’s a total sanctuary. The family have a stunning garden with decking, outdoor furniture, a hot tub and a large Buddha statue.
Fellow Strictly stars Janette Manrara and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec recently relocated to Cheshire from London ahead of the arrival of their first child so they will be closer to their pals Gemma and Gorka when they raise kids together.
