Early life
Benjamin Charles Miles was born 29 September 1966 in London, UK. The future-actor began his career through school productions at Tupton Hall School.
Career
The future Coupling star's first roles came as a member of the supporting cast in shows such as Is It Legal?, The Bill and Peak Practice. In 2000, his role as Patrick Maitland in the aforementioned Coupling rocketed him to being a household name, and his part in The Forsyte Saga from 2002 to 2003 only helped this.
Since finding success in the early 00s, Ben has appeared in films including V for Vendetta and Speed Racer, as well as in further TV dramas such as Netflix's The Crown and BBC Two's Collateral. He has also enjoyed roles on the stage, such as when he took the part of Thomas Cromwell in the RSC's adaptation of the Hilary Mantel books Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies in 2014. His performance was nominated for a Tony Award after the play was brought to New York a year later.
Personal life
Ben is married to Emily Raymond, and the pair share three children together.
