Her Career
Manchester born Holliday Grainger was only six years old when she made her small screen debut in Lancashire-set comedy All Quiet On The Preston Front. Since then she's been a firm fixture on the UK TV scene.
She started out "playing a lot of troubled kids", in series such as Casualty, Doctors and Dalziel And Pascoe. Later her repertoire expanded to include a maiden in a BBC production of Merlin and a vampire-fighting student in ITV show Demons.
Although committed to an acting career Holliday was determined to finish her education. Juggling a hectic filming schedule for Where The Heart Is with her studies, she passed her A Levels in 2006.
Plans to study English at Leeds University were put on hold in favour of an Open University course when she landed a part in school drama Waterloo Road. Holliday has also turned up on the big screen in indie dramas Awaydays and The Scouting Book For Boys.
More recently, the actress has starred in a plethora of films including Tell It to the Bees, Cinderella and Tulip Fever.
