"When I was six years old my schoolteacher asked the class what we'd like to be when we grew up. Much to her surprise, I ignored all the sensible answers of a nurse, teacher or policewoman, and declared I wanted to be a millionaire and marry Michael Jackson," says Giovanna Fletcher.

She didn't end up marrying the King of Pop, though she did fall in love – and subsequently wed – a young man who went one to become one of Britain's best-loved music stars.

Miss Falcone, as she was then, first laid eyes on Tom Fletcher at the Sylvia Young Theatre school in London when she was 13 years old. According to Giovanna the attraction was instant. The pair got engaged in 2011 and tied the knot a year later

Despite being married to a celebrity – Tom achieved great success with his band McFly – Giovanna never gave up on her own dreams, forging ahead with an acting career and penning several novels.

The pretty brunette – who was born on 29 January 1985 in Essex – starred in The Savages after she finished drama school. The acting job she is perhaps best known for is the 2009 film The Boat That Rocked. According to Giovanna, it was Tom who encouraged her to become an author. She has written several books, including the Eve of Man series with her husband. Her non-fiction title, Happy Mum, Happy Baby, meanwhile, spawned a popular podcast of the same name, where Giovanna interviews high profile guests about their parenting experiences.

In March 2014 Giovanna began an exciting new chapter when she welcomed her first child with Tom, a baby boy whom the couple named Buzz Michelangelo. "Now I can’t imagine life without our little dude! Every day he puts a smile on my face and melts my heart. I’m very lucky to be his mummy," Giovanna has said about their little "miracle".

Tom and Giovanna welcomed their second son, Buddy Bob Fletcher in February 2016, and third son, Max Mario Fletcher, was born in August 2018.

In 2020, Giovanna starred in the first ever series of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here to be filmed outside of Australia, and was crowned Queen of the Castle after winning over viewers and campmates alike with her down to earth nature and sense of humour.

She has since been focusing on her acting career, and has appeared in stage productions of 2:22 A Ghost Story and Wish You Were Dead, and even hosted CBeebies' show The Baby Club.
