Danny Jones is a musician who makes up one-quarter of the pop-rock band, Mcfly, alongside bandmates Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, and Harry Judd.

Danny Jones' early life and music career

Danny was born in Bolton on 12 March, 1986. Danny and his older sister Vicky were interested in music from a young age and he attended Bury College where he gained a BTEC National Diploma in music. Vicky also tried her luck at music as a contestant in series three of The Voice, but was eliminated in the battle rounds.

When Danny was 18, his father left the family. He was devastated and poured his feelings into the song Don't Know Why, written with his sister.

In 2003, Danny crossed paths with Tom Fletcher after auditioning for the boy band, V. The pair began working together on their own music, before later hiring bassist Dougie and drummer Harry after placing an ad in NME. With the line-up complete, McFly was born.

The band rose to fame after accompanying Busted on their 2004 tour and went on to win the Brit Award for Best British Pop Act the following year. They also became the youngest band ever to have a debut album go straight to number one, and have since sold over ten million records worldwide.

Danny began to carve out a TV career in 2017, when he became a coach on the children's singing competition, The Voice Kids UK.

Danny Jones' personal life

In July 2013, Danny announced his engagement to model and former Miss England Georgia Horsley - they tied the knot in 2014.

Although Danny is known for his lively performances on stage, he showed his softer side at his wedding. The singer was overcome with emotion from the moment he saw his stunning bride walk up the aisle in a gorgeous lace Stephanie Allin gown. "When I saw Georgia, I couldn't really take it," Danny told HELLO!, which had exclusive coverage of the couple's wedding day. "My legs shook. It was the most amazing view I've ever seen."

The couple went on to welcome a son, Cooper Alf Jones, who was born on 27 January 2018.
