Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands wed his girlfriend of five years, Laurentien Brinkhorst, on Saturday in a fairytale ceremony in the Hague. The couple rode together in a horse-drawn carriage to the Great Church of Saint Jacob for the ceremony, which was broadcast live on national television.

A 1,100-strong crowd watched as 34-year-old Laurentien, the daughter of the Dutch Minister for Agriculture, walked down the aisle in an ivory white gown and ten-foot train. The princess fought back tears during the 80-minute ceremony in front of royal guests including Japan’s Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Queen Beatrix’s youngest son officially married on Thursday in a private civil ceremony attended by close family members. The newlyweds are said to be moving to London where the notoriously private Constantijn, 31, will begin work as a business consultant. However, he won’t be the only Dutch royal in town as his older brother, bachelor Johan Friso, is employed by the London office of investment giant Goldman Sachs.

Constantijn’s eldest brother, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, is engaged to Argentine beauty Maxima Zorreguieta and is likely to wed later this year.
