Lady Helen Taylor positively sparkled at a charity auction in aid of the Sargent Cancer Care For Children on Thursday in a pale blue beaded and sequin-encrusted chiffon gown by Armani accessorised with pieces from Bulgari’s new “Lucea” collection.
The sale, which Lady Helen hosted, was held at London’s trendy Sanderson hotel and attended by Jade Jagger, Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri and British designer Alexander McQueen. High-profile guests bid against each other for a range of goodies including a pair of tickets to the closing concert in the London leg of Madonna’s current tour, dinner for eight at home created by a top chef, and a walk-on part in a new film from production company Working Title.
Designer Alexander McQueen seemed particularly keen to explore his untapped potential as a movie star, bidding £5,000 for the movie role, while the Madonna tickets went for £8,000. The evening raised £100,000 in total.
