Nearly 3000 votes were counted, with a whopping 26% going to the handsome Prince of the Asturias. Princess Victoria of Sweden had a strong second place showing, with 16% of readers selecting the popular royal.
The handsome Crown Prince of Spain is a fan favourite in more ways than one. His blue eyes, 6ft5in frame and master's degree in international relations from Georgetown University make Felipe one of the world's most eligible bachelors. The Prince has been in the news most recently for his relationship with 26-year-old Norwegian model Eva Sannum. The possibility of a commoner daughter of divorced parents becoming the future queen of Spain has caused national debates in the country.
Hellomagazine.com readers’ second favourite heir to the throne is Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. The Yale-educated princess, who celebrated her 24th birthday last month, became first in line to the Swedish throne in 1980, when the Swedish law of succession was changed to make the firstborn child of the monarch the heir to the throne, regardless of gender. The eldest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Victoria is currently the only crown princess in Europe.
Your third choice for favourite heir was Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, who is currently planning his wedding to Argentina-born Maxima Zorreguieta. Britain’s Prince Charles, who is recovering from a tumble during a recent polo match, had a respectable fifth place showing, with 10% of the vote.
