PRINCE WILLIAM TAKES PART IN BOISTEROUS UNIVERSITY TRADITION

Prince William has always insisted on being treated like an average university fresher, and on Monday he proved just how far he’s willing to go to fit in. The heir to the throne got into the spirit of St Andrews' annual Raisin Monday this week, and may have painted his face blue and entered the foam fray amidst hundreds of revellers .

“The Prince did attend although I am not entirely sure what he did,” reports a St James’s Palace spokesman. However, this photo seems to suggest hunky Wills was knee-deep in foam.

“He was keen to take part even though many people thought he wouldn’t because of the potential embarrassment,” says one source. “Wills didn’t want to be seen as a prude. He has always said he wants to be treated just like any other student.”

The young heart-throb is keen to have a typical university experience, and didn’t want to miss out on the boisterous tradition. “William wanted to go along,” says one partygoer. “He wanted to enter into the spirit of the day.”

Following the hour-long fray, the young royal bathed in the nippy North Sea with his classmates.

Could this be the trademark grin of a certain young royal peering out from beneath the foam?
