In the spirit of the holidays, Princess Caroline of Monaco is spending the days leading up to Christmas dedicating her time to charitable causes and special events. The eldest daughter of Prince Rainier took time out to visit a Red Cross home for the elderly and presided over the 20th-anniversary celebration of a theatre named after her mother, the late Princess Grace.
Representing her brother, Prince Albert, who is president of the Red Cross of Monaco, Caroline visited the senior citizens home Cap du Fleur, which is overseen by the charitable organisation. There, the princess handed out gifts to residents and later toured the facility. The affection with which she was greeted was reciprocated as she shook hands warmly and chatted with workers and residents.
Later in the day, the princess accompanied her father, Prince Rainier of Monaco, and Albert to a commemorative performance to mark the 20th anniversary of the Princess Grace Theatre in Monte Carlo. Dressed in an elegant evening suit, Caroline joined guests to see George Feydeau’s French farce Le Dindon, followed by a gala dinner to celebrate the special event.
