Aspiring princesses may have been distraught to hear on Thursday that Frederik of Denmark – one of the few single crown royals these days – could soon be off the market, but the hunkiest catch, in the eyes of hellomagazine.com readers, is still available.
Thousands logged in for our dishiest crown prince poll, and the very unattached Crown Prince Felipe has easily landed the title, with nearly 60 per cent of the vote. Nearly one-third of our readers say that Denmark’s 34-year-old Frederik is tops, while perennial bachelor Prince Albert of Monaco rounded out the trio with just over ten per cent.
Spanish Prince Felipe was thought to be nearing the altar last year when his five-year relationship with Norwegian model Eva Sannum became increasingly public. But his December 2001 announcement that the two had amicably parted ways means the future king is still looking for his queen.
Dubbed “terribly handsome” by socialite Ivana Trump, the 6ft 4in hunk hit headlines after the royal palace confirmed he’d been out to dine with Oscar winning blonde Gwyneth Paltrow in August. But to hear the actress tell it, Felipe won’t be tying the knot anytime soon – with her, anyway. “The press is missing the mark on me, I’m afraid,” she said during Stella McCartney’s New York store opening last week. “There's nothing going on between us.”
