St Andrews University student Prince William is leaving the hall of residence where he’s spent the last year in order to move into a luxury flat with three friends – and one of his new roomies is apparently a pretty 20-year-old brunette.

Fellow History of Art classmate Kate Middleton will share the home with William, along with Fergus Boyd – a 21-year-old who was at Eton with the Prince – and one other student.

William’s friendship with Kate was revealed last April, when the young royal paid £200 for a VIP seat at a university charity fashion show in which the Berkshire beauty was modelling.

The posh new digs, located near the region’s famous links golf course and the sea, are apparently at one of the Fife town’s most sought-after addresses. “The street they have moved into is the place that every student aspires to, despite the fact that rents there are much more expensive,” a university source told The Sun.

A spokeswoman for William, who spent last year enjoying the en-suite rooms and cooked meals of St Salvator’s Hall, confirmed the young Prince had moved into private accommodation but would not discuss what his rent would be. According to reports, however, each roommate will be pitching in about £100 per week.
