Lady Helen Taylor and her art dealer husband Tim have announced that they are expecting their third child, telling friends they are “thrilled” about the coming arrival.
“Yes, it is true,” said royal spokesperson Simon Astaire. “Lady Helen is pregnant and her friends and family are extremely happy for both her and Tim.” Lady Helen, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, is said to be three months along in her pregnancy.
The happy news comes four years after 39-year-old Tim was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease, a form of cancer which attacks the lymph nodes. The ailment has a high survival rate, and Tim has been in remission since 2000.
“Helen was a tower of strength for Tim when he was diagnosed with cancer and it made their relationship even stronger,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She loves being a mother… The whole family is delighted about the news and they are looking forward to welcoming a new baby.”
The couple, who wed in 1992, already have two sons, Columbus, eight, and five-year-old Cassius.
