Prince Albert of Monaco hosted the black-tie Princess Grace Awards on Tuesday night at New York's exclusive Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. And while his sister Princess Caroline was by his side at the gala, which honours aspiring young theatre, dance and film artists in the US, so was another eye-catching young lady.
Dressed in a floor-length gown, American pole vaulter Alicia Warlick, who has been linked to the prince in recent months, accompanied Albert as he chatted with his sister and her husband Prince Ernst of Hanover.
Oklahoma-born Alicia, who attended prestigious universities Stanford and Harvard, is currently training in hopes of snagging a spot on the US Olympic team. However, whether or not she is aspiring to more than friendship with the Monegasque prince has been left to speculation. "Well, I enjoy his company," the athletic blonde admitted last month.
A friend of Albert's since meeting him at a Monaco athletic event in 2000, Alicia was also a guest at last year's awards. Attendees pay upwards of $1,500 for an individual ticket and $50,000 for a table at the fundraising gala, which is held to benefit the US branch of the Princess Grace Foundation.
