The kiss they shared at a recent equestrian event was a sure sign that the briefly derailed relationship between Zara Phillips and jockey Richard Johnson is back on track. In fact, according to reports, the Queen's striking young granddaughter is planning to move back in to the £400,000 estate she once shared her on-off beau.
And some say the new living arrangements are a sign of bigger things to come. "They've had their ups and downs but they're now getting on brilliantly," a friend told the Daily Mirror. "Both Zara and Richard are very happy at the moment – and they've discussed marriage."
Zara left her horseman boyfriend in July of last year, but the soured romance became an amicable friendship within months. "She's part of my life," said Richard in October, 2002. "People can write all they want about blazing rows and paint me as the bad guy, but...we're still friends. I'd hate it if we weren't."
However, many were sure a reunion would be impossible after Richard publicly claimed he'd never been bitten by the love bug. "I've no idea what love's like – I have never been in love," he said at the time. "I admit I am not much of a romantic... Being a champion jockey one day is what is paramount to me. My career is first and foremost."
