PRINCE CHARLES CHARMS BEYONCE AT PARTY IN THE PARK

R&B diva Beyonce Knowles got rather flustered when she met Prince Charles at the Party in the Park on Saturday. The Destiny's Child star, who was performing at the annual charity concert in London, had been invited to join the Prince of Wales in the royal section to watch the other acts perform. But she got a bit of a surprise when the future king told her: "Both of my sons have your album and I think Wills quite fancies you."

The singer was more than a little embarrassed, but that didn't stop her giving a show-stopping performance of her new hit single Crazy In Love. "I'm sure William can't believe that he said that and I'm sure Charles will be in trouble when he gets home," she joked afterwards. "I'm thrilled though – Wills is very good-looking."

The Prince was feeling rather more bashful when he met archetypal Essex girl Denise Van Outen, who famously flashed her bra at him during the 1999 event. The TV presenter, who also admits to having stolen an ashtray from Buckingham Palace, asked the charming royal for a peck on the cheek, but he said: "Oh, I don't know - people are watching - what do you think?". In characteristically rambunctious style, Denise said: "Oh sod it, let's just go for it," before stealing a kiss from the Prince.

And Charles also made an impression on British hip-hop band Blazin' Squad when he was introduced to them backstage. Instead of shaking the Prince's hand, bandmember Flava tried to give him a "spud" – a greeting made by touching your clenched fists together. The cheeky rapper got a surprise when the 54-year-old responded in kind.

Flava also caused a commotion when he tried to have his picture taken with Beyonce. The mischievous performer strolled up to her changing room, with camera in hand, and tried to let himself in. His antics provoked a security alert however, and he was frogmarched away by several of her burly bodyguards.
