As a Princess Diana tell-all book written by the late royal's former butler Paul Burrell creates a furore in the UK, it has been revealed that the ex-servant plans to make his home elsewhere.

British newspaper The Sun reports that Burrell, who lives in the village of Farndon, Cheshire, is in the process of having a £500,000 villa built in the US state of Florida. Friends have apparently said he intends to make the new Orlando dream estate his permanent home.

The 45-year-old father-of-two saw his Princess Diana tome, A Royal Duty, shoot straight to the bestseller list upon its release this week. He is thought to have pocketed millions for the book, as well as hundreds of thousands of pounds for a week-long serialisation in a UK newspaper.

Asked this week if details about his upcoming meeting with Diana's son Prince William would become the subject of another newspaper exclusive, Burrell responded: "If I give my word (to keep the conversation secret), I would keep my word and not report it."
