London society has, of late, been taking a keen interest in Prince Harry's social activities. And the young royal's latest night out was no exception, after the 19-year-old spent the night partying with a young woman whose mother has been linked to James Hewitt.
Harry and Camilla Simon spent the evening at fashionable Kensington nightspot Boujis. Also present in the 20-strong group was Sarah Gilmour, the daughter of Pink Floyd star Dave Gilmour. The friends spent the night chatting, dancing and drinking until around 2.30am, when Harry left with his friend Guy Pelly and two Royal Protection Officers.
Camilla's mother, Kate Simon, was once involved with Princess Diana's former lover James Hewitt. The two split about 12 months ago after a two-year relationship, during which she is said to have bankrolled his flamboyant lifestyle.
According to newspaper reports, Harry has become increasingly close to Camilla, who is part of a close knit group of friends who frequent West London's most fashionable bars and clubs.
Some royal watchers have expressed concern that the teenage Prince is developing a party-boy reputation, but sources close to the royals seem unconcerned. "Many people want the Royal Family to appear more normal and this is what most 19-year-olds are doing," said one senior aide.
