Martial arts hero Jackie Chan is best-known for karate kicking his way through the bad guys in his action-packed movie adventures. The Duchess of York discovered he was just as adept at another type of fancy footwork when she paid a visit to his hometown of Hong Kong, however. Sarah joined the martial arts maestro earlier this week at a charity gala to help needy youngsters. And the 46-year-old, who was elegant in a floor-length deep purple gown, soon found the actor was quite a mover.

The British royal teamed up with Jackie in an effort to raise money for World Children's Day. Each year events are staged all over the planet as the United Nations and its member states try to raise awareness of the challenges facing young people around the world.

It would appear Sarah has a soft spot for one country in particular, though. The outgoing royal, who sought refuge in the Emerald Isle when her marriage to Prince Andrew collapsed in the early Nineties, has been waxing lyrical about the windswept nation. "I love Ireland!" she declared in a recent interview. "The Irish people gave me back my life and I feel very strongly that I went back to core values. I think that is why I feel so comfortable in Ireland, because the Irish people accept Sarah as Sarah instead of trying to make her into anything else."

Her dance partner has meanwhile set his sights on the rather more populous destination of India. "I plan to do movies with Bollywood actors and producers in the near future," revealed the 51-year-old. "We are looking at a huge industry and vast audiences."
