Little Princess Amalia has little trouble leading the pack when it comes to her popularity with the Dutch people. And it would appear the energetic two-year-old is equally unbeatable on the sporting field, after she showed off her athletic skills in a primary school fun run.
With her proud dad Crown Prince Willem-Alexander at her side to provide plenty of encouragement, the blonde youngster showed off her speedy skills on Thursday morning. The princess, who was competing in an race to raise money for humanitarian efforts in Ethiopia, seemed to take the challenge in her stride.
Her mum Crown Princess Maxima, who is also well-known for her charity work, meanwhile had her hands full with baby sister Alexia. The infant appeared a little worried when her parent sounded a fog horn to signal the beginning of the event, but the future queen soon reassured her that everything was OK.
The family's day of sporting fun came soon after they bid farewell to Luxembourg's royal family, who had been visiting the Netherlands, earlier in the week. Maxima turned on the style with a stunning orange halter-neck gown at Tuesday night's banquet, but the pretty Argentinian went for a laid-back bohemian look, with a loose brown dress and matching floral print coat, on Thursday.
