Prince Albert of Monaco has confirmed that he is dad to a second love child, 14-year-old American high-school student Jazmin Grace Rotolo.
"The prince officially recognises the paternity that was legally established several weeks ago," his lawyer Thierry Lacoste told Le Figaro newspaper. He added that Albert, 48, had wanted to protect Jazmin's identity but the "situation had become unbearable for her" after the paparazzi caught wind of the story.
Albert, who is the son of late Hollywood actress Grace Kelly, met Jazmin's mother Tamara on the Cote d'Azur in July 1991 where the Californian former waitress was holidaying with her husband. She became pregnant after a brief liaison with the Grimaldi heir.
The news comes a year after he admitted to fathering Alexandre who was born in August 2003 after a six-year affair with Nicole Coste, an air stewardess from Togo.
Neither child is in line to the throne of the tiny Mediterranean principality, as the constitution rules that only a child born into Catholic wedlock can succeed.
