Assured, discreet and always impeccably turned out, Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton seems to have the part of a princess-in-waiting down to perfection. Over the weekend the brunette was on hand to support Wills as he took part in a Gloucestershire polo match on a weekend off from his Sandhurst course.
Looking stylish in a simple knee-length black dress, Kate chatted amicably with some friends during the post-match presentation. As soon as the sporty royal finished on the field he turned his attention to his love and the couple were soon spotted walking side-by-side, deep in conversation.
The pair, who've been dating for over two years, are said to share lots of interests. "Kate always used to say she wanted to get married, have loads of children, live in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, have lots of horses and go skiing," one of her schoolfriends recently told The Observer newspaper.
While William's weekend may have gone swimmingly, there were new challenges to be faced on his return to the military academy. On Monday the second-in-line to the throne was forced to seek medical advice, suffering from infected insect bites. It was nothing that a course of antibiotics couldn't deal with, but the Prince is anxious not to miss out on training or indeed England's opening World Cup game in Germany.
